Francia / Burdeos / Graves y Sauternes
Delicious sweet white made from noble rot-affected grapes grown on 50 year old vines in the famous Sauternes district of Bordeaux. Very low yields from gravelly clay soils. Manually harvested in various stages, intended to maximize the quantity of botrytis affected grapes in the final wine. 13% vol.
Appellation: Sauternes
Grape Variety: Sauvignon Blanc & Sémillon.
Winemaking: Fermentation at low temperature in stainless steel vats. The alcoholic fermentation is interrupted SO2 and by cooling when the optimal balance is reached. The wine is aged in vats and barrels for a period of 10 to 12 months.
Tasting Notes: Residual sugar: 132 gr./l. Best enjoyed: 2020 to 2040.
Presentation: Cardboard boxes of 12 half-bottles (375 ml.).
