Stephan Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): This wine has a brilliant citrus color and opens with a stunningly clear, fresh, precise and flinty nose with ripe, intense fruit aromas. Very elegant and juicy on the palate, this is a well balanced and harmonious Federspiel with remarkable intensity, finesse and length. Picked on the 8th of October and bottled at the end of April this year with 12.5% alcohol and 2.5 grams of unfermented sugar, this is in fact a Smaragd style.
