Full-bodied dry red wine made since 1985. Grapes sourced from selected plots in the Coombsville AVA, west of the Napa River.
14.5% vol.

Appellation: Napa Valley

Grape Variety: Merlot 100%

Winemaking: Harvested by hand in September 2019.
Completely destemmed and crushed in closed stainless steel tanks. Fermented warm and pumped over twice a day. Skins pressed as soon as it begins to show signs of tannic structure and vatted in neutral barrels. The wine is racked once, after the second fermentation. The wine ages for two years in barrel before being bottled without fining or filtering.
Aged in bottle since 2021.

What do the experts say?

James Suckling: Aromas of wild cherry, paprika and allspice. Medium-to full-bodied with silky tannins. Very succulent and juicy with bright acidity and pleasant freshness. Hints of white pepper and oregano come through. Drink or hold.
