Powerful, medium-bodied dry red made from grapes grown in a tiny 1º cru vineyard "Les Saint-Georges" just north of the village on the border with Vosne Romanee. Over 35 years old, the vineyard has deep brown, calcareous soil, with a pink limestone ("Prémeaux") and stones. Manual harvest. Viticulture certified sustainable from both HVE (level 3) and Terra Vitis.
13.5% vol.

Appellation: Nuits-Saint-Georges 1º Cru

Grape Variety: 100% Pinot Noir

Winemaking: 100% de-stemmed given a cold maceration for 5 days before fermentation. Daily pump over during fermentation. The wine is matured in French oak barrels (28% new) for 15 to 20 months. Not filtered before bottling.

Tasting Notes: Best enjoyed: 2023 - 2033.
