Production: Around the Feudi del Pisciotto estate, which borders the Pisciotto Reserve, rich in cork oaks and hundreds of different species of wood, the vineyards are replanted with the main native varieties (from Nero d'Avola to Frappato) and with other international varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet, as well as Pinot Noir (the top of the range), Semillon which, together with Gewürztraminer, is used to produce an exceptional passito wine.

Sicily is precisely the region that the Greeks once called Enotria, because of its famous vocation for vine cultivation. Precisely for this reason, in recent years, thanks above all to the pioneering work of several great Sicilian entrepreneurial families and the Regional Institute of Vine and Wine, the island's wine production has undergone a true renaissance, both cultural and productive, with major investments focused on this land's capacity to produce world-class wines.

As part of the new Sicilian Renaissance movement, the Feudi del Pisciotto estate, the first Sicilian company of the DCC Group, brings its contribution complemented by the experience acquired by Castellare di Castellina and Rocca di Frassinello. The company is located in the south-east of Sicily, a few minutes from Caltagirone (Sicilian capital of ceramics), Piazza Armerina and Vittoria, near Villa Romana, which has miraculously remained intact, 7 km from the sea. The estate dates back to the 18th century and was one of the largest in Sicily.

The old building includes the winemaking plant or ‘Palmento’, from the Latin word Paumentum, which refers to the act of pressing something. The grapes are pressed in tanks that let the must fall to the bottom, as this has been proven to be the best technique. Restored without any modification to the existing structure, the Palmento is connected to a modern winery built to produce up to 10,000 hectolitres of wine using the most advanced technologies available.
