Information about the winery

The winery was acquired by the Sichel family more than 30 years ago, in the Cucugnan valley, an atypical land with a Mediterranean climate at altitude, subject to a slight Atlantic influence. 2019 will be the year of change and also the year of returning to basics. Alexander Sichel , grandson of Peter Sichel, decides to take over the vineyard and offer it a bright future with exceptional wines. Sharing the same love as his grandfather for the Cucugnan valley and its wine-growing potential, he wishes to pay tribute to him by renaming the property "Domaine Peter Sichel"

The vineyard's surface area was carefully analyzed and reduced, prioritizing the preservation of the finest vine plots. This effort led to the creation of a new local wine labeled IGP Pays de Cucugnan, aiming to achieve a high-quality, premium range.
Alongside the reduction in vineyard size, a commitment to modern practices and environmental stewardship prompted the estate to transition to organic and biodynamic farming that same year.

Since 2019, the entire vision for the property has been reimagined, while the timeless allure of this land continues to endure year after year.
