Properties: Zoltán has nine different vineyards distributed between the villages of Tokaj, Mad, Bodrogkeresztúr, Rátka and Sátoraljaújhely. With a total of 7 hectare, half of his plantings are the variety Furmint, the rest are Hárslevelu & Kövérszolo.

Founded in 1996, the Demeter Zoltán Prinszet winery produces first class quality wines in Tokaj and is considered one of the most prestigious in the region. Demeter Zoltán studied at the Horticultural University of Budapest, subsequently having completed his education in the US, France and the UK. After having managed a number of foreign-owned wineries in Tokaj-Hegyalja, he began to produce his own wine at the family estate in Sátoraljaujhely. Since that time he has acquired other classified vineyards in the region and now owns 7 hectares. His winery is located in the town of Tokaj, at facilities dating back to 1790. Zoltán advocates minimal intervention and usually produces three categories of wine: dry, Föbor (Szamorodni) and Aszú, as well as single vineyard selections that express the unique character of each area. Zoltán is one of the leaders in the bid to recover historical vineyards and recapture the grandeur of bygone days. To this end he has created a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving the appellation and has published maps and historical works related to the singular winemaking and winegrowing tradition of Tokaj.
