Information about the winery

A family with more than 170 years of experience (since 1848) in grape growing in Champagne that in 1949 founded its own Champagne house, taking advantage of the vineyards on the slopes of Petit Morin that Albert Bergère, the grandfather of the winery, already owned. family. André, the youngest of his grandchildren, took the reins of the business and in the 80s, together with his wife Brigitte, they expanded the farm. The saga continues with André and his children, Anaëlle and Adrien, all with names starting with "A", in honor of family tradition.

Adrien Bergère joined his parents and sister on the estate in 2014 after obtaining his diploma in oenology. He came with the desire to further enhance his family's terroirs and showcase the richness of the Vallée du Petit Morin. To achieve this, he immediately began vinifying all plots separately to better understand the diversity of his terroir and isolate the best plots, giving rise to the plot range and the two Coteaux Champenois, in addition to the already established traditional range.

They are currently based in the Côte des Blancs, and have 65 hectares of vineyards in the most valued areas of Champagne: Ferebrianges, Etoges, Congy, (and small vineyards in Sézanne, Bethan, Charly-sur-Marne, Pavant, Mont saint Pére, Essames, Mesnil sur Oger, Oger and Chouilly). Their Grand Cru grapes come from the famous town of Avize.
