Tasting Notes: Deep ruby. Aroma of black raspberries, spices and wet forest floor. Powerful, dry and persistent, with more red fruit and notes of iron shavings. Dry, spicy tannins and marked acidity, clean finish. An elegant and traditional Brunello, with a long future.
Best enjoyed: 2024 to 2034.
Presentation: Cardboard box of 6 bottles.
Kerin O'Keefe: "Fragrant and refined, the 2019 Brunello from Villa Poggio Salvi is lovely, with enticing aromas of blu flower, underbrush, tobacco and ripe plum. On the savory full-bodied palate, polished tannins accompany ripe black cherry, blackberry and licorice. Fresh acidity keeps it balanced"
