Elegant, medium bodied red made from the oldest blocks of the Hunter Valley Ashmans property, some dating back to 1892. Red volcanic clay soils. Manually harvested.
13.5% vol.

Appellation: Hunter Valley (NSW)

Grape Variety: 100% Shiraz

Winemaking: Hand-picked in February. Destemmed and fermented by parcels in open concrete vats. Aged for 15 months in large barrels (2,700 liters) of new French oak. Blend made in November, with an additional 5 months of aging before bottling.
