Powerful, full-bodied red made from grapes grown on the Villero plot, at an altitude of 250 metres above sea level, near the village of Castiglione Falletto, in the heart of the Barolo DO. Vineyard with south-southwest orientation and marly-calcareous soil.
14,5% vol.

Appellation: Barolo

Grape Variety: 100% Nebbiolo

Winemaking: Fermented in concrete tanks under strict temperature control (30°C-32°C), post-fermentation maceration, racked after 25 days, decanted, then gotten induced malolactic treatment. Matured in oak casks for a long period of time, then a long stay in bottle.

What do the experts say?

Falstaff: Brilliant, bright garnet red. Appealing nose with emphatically fragrant notes of sour cherry, raspberry and some saffron. Shows beautiful texture on the palate, round and decidedly smooth, unfolds with great elegance, spreads well across the palate.
