Lievland Old Vines Chenin Blanc 2017

Rich, medium-bodied dry white made from grapes grown on dry-farmed, 40 year old bush vines in the region of Paarl. 13º vol.

Grape Variety: 100% Chenin Blanc

Winemaking: Fermented in stainless steel tanks (90%) and in new American oak barrels (10%). The blend is aged for nine months on its fine lees before bottling.

Tasting Notes: Pale yellow, with a slight golden hue. Tropical aroma with ripe melons & apricots. Mouth-filling but still refreshing, a wine with length and nice mineral notes. A versatile style of Chenin, ideal with spicy dishes, such as curry, pasta salad or grilled chicken. Best enjoyed: 2019 a 2024.
