Properties: 16 hectares of terraced vineyards on the hills surrounding the winery located in Prepotto, Friuli, right on the border with Slovenia. The main varieties are Schioppettino, Refosco, Merlot, Pinot Grigio, Friulano, Ribolla Gialla, Chardonnay and Muscat.

Vigna Traverso was founded in 1998 by Giancarlo Traverso with the goal of producing the finest wines possible from the region of Friuli. It is run by Stefano Traverso, the founder’s son, along the strictest standards, a strategy which has obviously paid off, as Vigna Traverso, in less than ten years, has become one of the quality leaders in the region.
