Information about the winery

Founded in 1999, it is currently one of the leaders in quality in the region, considered one of the most prestigious in Argentina. Susana Balbó studied at the Don Bosco School of Oenology and in 1981 received her degree in Oenology as the best cum laude graduate, becoming the first woman winemaker in Argentina. After managing several wineries such as Martins and Catena Zapata in Salta and Luján de Cuyo, she went on to fulfill her dream and produce her own wine with her own firm. He has since acquired other classified vineyards in the region, currently having 5 estates.

Its winery is located in the Luján de Cuyo region next to the Dominio Agrelo Estate, with an approximate extension of 16 hectares and apart from that it has estates in the Uco Valley, which are located in: Gualtallary, Paraje Altamira, Los Chacayes and Los Árboles. Susana employs three fundamental premises in winemaking: knowledge of the terroir, winemaking skills and innovations, and finally, sustainability.
Susana's restless spirit led her to actively participate in the positioning of Argentina wines in the world. She was elected President of Wines of Argentina by her peers in the industry on three occasions. She led the entity in the cycle in which Argentina wine exports made history and grew at double-digit rates, which led Argentina to stand out on the world wine map. This role highlights Susana as an influential leader in the era of the take-off of a new wine-producing Argentina. Today, Susana Balbo wines are present in more than 40 markets.
