Domaine de la Méreuille (Méreuille is the Provençal term for Merveille – Wonder) is located in the heart of the wine-growing regions along the left bank of the Rhône, near the city of Orange. The vines - some over 70 years old- are planted on a soil of clay, chalk and flint pebbles that have travelled along the river from the slopes of the Alps. The estate is planted mostly with Grenache with a smaller proportion of Syrah, Mourvedre, Cinsault and Carignan. Winemaker Philippe Granger today produces Châteauneuf-du-Pape (4 Ha) and the rest is Côtes-du-Rhône and Côtes-du-Rhône Villages.
