Cantine Coppi, founded in 1882, is one of the most important names in Puglia and is the quality leader in the production of wines made from the variety Primitivo, also known as Zinfandel in other parts of the world. Growers since inception and winemakers for over 40 years, Coppi currently owns 100 hectares of vineyards located between Bari and Salento: the cradle of the Primitivo di Gioia del Colle DO. This zone is the highest vineyard district in Puglia, which accounts for the surprising freshness and elegance of these wines. Coppi also produces other autoctonous regional vareities: Negroamaro, Aleatico, Falanghina, Malvasia Bianca and Malvasia Nera.
