Information about the winery

In 1920 Charles Bocard began the family lineage that unites the Bocard family property with the vineyard. 17 years later, in 1937, the Meursault AOC Designation of Origin was created. In 1959, production and bottling began on the property, and the wines were sold directly. From 1976 to 1986, Guy Bocard, grandson of Charles, bought new plots in Meursault, created a first vat room and modernized the winery. Since 2020, René Mora, Guy's disciple, who started in the wine sector collecting grapes. He has taken over winemaking on the estate.

As a great expert on the Côte de Beaune, René's reflections have led him to reconsider modern viticultural practices: conversion to organic farming constitutes an inevitable first step, in which the plant is cared for to the extreme, pruning is more respectful with the flow of sap and the vine rows remain covered with grass to begin a circle that tends to improve the quality of the vines.
