Dry, full-bodied red made from grapes grown in the single vineyard "Meriame" in the heart of the Serralunga district of Barolo, at 350 meters above sea level. Calcarious clay soils. Manual harvest. 15%
Grape Variety: 100% Nebbiolo
Winemaking: Fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged for two years in a combination of large Slavonian oak vats and small French oak barrels.
Awards: Bibenda: 5/5 bunches. Gambero Rosso: Two glasses. Falstaff Guide: 93 points.
Tasting Notes: Ruby color with a brick edge. Attractive aroma of raspberry jam, black cherries & espresso coffee. Powerful, yet light on the palette and very long, with notes of prunes & figs. Still tannic, but well polished. A fine example of the Serralunga style Barolo. Optimum drinking: 2024 to 2034.
