Dry, full-bodied red made from grapes grown in several plots of the Serralunga district of Barolo, all between 300 & 350 meters above sea level. Calcarious clay soils. Manual harvest. 14.5% vol.

Appellation: Barolo

Grape Variety: 100% Nebbiolo

Winemaking: Fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged for two years in a combination of large Slovanian oak vats and small (225 liter) French oak barrels.

Awards: Decanter: 94 points & Silver Medal; James Suckling: 93 points. Wein.plus: 90 points, excellent. Gamberro Rosso: 2 copas.

Tasting Notes: Best enjoyed: 2024 to 2033.

Presentation: Cardboard box of 6 bottles (Albeisa).
Availability: Good.

James Suckling: "A red with pretty, ripe fruit and spices, showing attractive aromas and flavors of sweet strawberries and cedar. lt's full-bodied with chewy tannins and a flavorful finish. Needs three or four years to soften. Be patient."
