Barrel-aged, sweet fortified red made from the traditional blend of Port grapes of all grown on schist soils. 20% vol.
Grape Variety: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca & Tinta Cao
Winemaking: Partially de-stemmed. Fermentation halted by the addition of grape brandy (77%), then aged for at least ten years in oak barrels.
Tasting Notes: Amber color. Rich aroma of red fruit jam, vainilla & walnuts. Perfect as aperitif or after dinner digestive. 112 gr./l. residual suger. Open bottles of this style of Port are good for several weeks. Best enjoyed: during the next 10 years.
