Delicious medium-bodied red made from grapes grown in the hilly, higher altitude zone of Turi-Castellana Grotte in Puglia. Limestone clay soils. Manual harvest. One of the most classic wines of Southern Italy. 13.5% vol.

Appellation: Puglia IGP

Grape Variety: 100% Primitivo

Winemaking: Fermented in stainless steel tanks with 7 or eight days carbonic maceration, followed by malolactic fermentation in 100 HL Slavonian oak vats. Aged in the bottle for four years.

Awards: Luca Maroni: 92 points in his Best Italian Wine Guide. Wine Enthusiast: "Best Buy."

Tasting Notes: Vivid, bright red color. Fresh aroma of of ripe fruit , such as blackberries & cherries. Dry, medium-bodied with elegant structure and a silky texture. Perfect served with ham sandwiches, meatballs or pizza. Best enjoyed: 2022 a 2025.
