Medium-bodied red made from 35 year-old vines located in the village of Saint-Laurent du Medoc, very near the famous vines of Pauillac. Sandy gravel & limestone clay soils. 13.5º vol.
Appellation: Haut-Médoc
Grape Variety: 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot & 5% Petit Verdot
Winemaking: 85% in French oak barrels (from the Nièvre and the Allier) for 12 to 18 months. 30% to 50% are new barrels.

Tasting Notes: Deep ruby with nice shimmering reflections. Aroma of black fruit with notes of beeswax, cinnamon, vanilla and liquorice. Round and easy to drink, with flavour of blackberries & excellent balance. Smooth finish, but still young. Decant before serving. Ideal with roastbeef. Best enjoyed: 2021 - 2027

Jancis Robinson: Very dark crimson. Luscious and round and fresh but with lots of ripe fruit. Silky Margaux-like texture. Creditable. Lip smacking and quite stony. 16,5/20
